The season, in one paragraph

Worst Ex Ever Season 2 arrived on Netflix on May 6, 2026, again produced by Blumhouse Television with ITV America, again directed by Cynthia Childs. The four new episodes push the series from relatively obscure dating-app predator stories into high-profile convicted-killer and reality-TV-defendant territory, balanced by two less-publicized but equally gripping cases.

Episode 1 — Dating the Deadpool Killer (Wade Wilson)

The premiere revisits Wade Steven Wilson, the Florida man convicted in June 2024 of first-degree murder in the October 2019 killings of Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz in Cape Coral. Wilson was sentenced to death in August 2024 and remains on Florida's death row. The episode's survivor narrator is Kelly Matthews, a West Palm Beach woman who dated Wilson in 2018 — when he went by his middle name "Steven" — and describes the manipulation and warning signs she observed. Episode 2 — Primetime Predator (Geoffrey Paschel)

The second episode covers Geoffrey Paschel, a former TLC 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days cast member (Season 4, 2020), and his June 9, 2019 attack on his then-fiancée Kristen Chapman at her Knoxville, Tennessee home. A Knox County jury convicted him on October 22, 2021; Judge Kyle Hixson sentenced him on February 4, 2022 to 18 years in prison without the possibility of parole. Episode 3 — A Fatal Attraction (Joyce Pelzer)

The third episode traces survivor Katie Long's relationship with Joyce Pelzer in Largo, Florida. During the relationship, Pelzer disclosed her involvement in a dormant homicide case in Lithonia, Georgia; Long's decision to bring that confession to investigators is the narrative turning point of the episode. Episode 4 — Ride or Die (Scott Freeman)

The Season 2 finale follows survivor Karen Kummerer's account: despite an active restraining order against her abusive partner Scott Freeman, he kidnapped her at knifepoint in Daytona Beach, Florida, and forced her on a prolonged road trip before law enforcement intervened. Season-over-season shift

Season 1 leaned on Oregon rural, Queens NYC suburban, Bay Area, and Pacific Northwest stories with perpetrators who were not public figures. Season 2 introduces two defendants with genuine pre-existing public profiles — a death-row inmate whose name overlaps with a Marvel character, and a reality-TV cast member — which changes the rhetorical temperature of the show. Pairing those two high-profile cases with two less-publicized ones (the cold case and the Daytona Beach finale) keeps the season from feeling like a celebrity-crimes anthology.
